It is more important than ever that the technology on which we are highly dependent can be manufactured, used, repaired and disposed of in ways that do not harm the natural environment or the people involved. Sustainable technology is a term that encompasses two concepts: Technology that is specifically designed to avoid environmental problems, and technology that is produced with sustainability in mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sustainable technology means:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. striving for carbon neutral technology use.
2. switching to more sustainable suppliers
3. consolidation of computing resources
4. conversion to a closed supply chain
5. use of technology to solve sustainability problems.
6. minimizing dependence on non-renewable resources and increasing the use of renewable options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
