Business Intelligence is fed by enormous amounts of data. For this reason, it is sometimes confused with Data Science and Big Data. However, these are different concepts. Big Data refers to the collection, storage and processing of vast amounts of data, and the predictive and prescriptive analysis of this data is referred to as Data Science. Business Intelligence, on the other hand, uses this data to optimize decision-making and reporting within the company.
