Sprint/Sprint plan

1 min read

In the world of agile development, a sprint is the defined period of time during which a team works on a specific piece of functionality. The sprint plan is a detailed description of what is to be accomplished during that time. The sprint plan should include all the requirements and dependencies necessary to ensure that the team can successfully complete the task.

The first task of a Sprint is to define the scope of the work to be done within the Sprint. This is called defining the goal of the sprint. Then the team or individual must define a plan for achieving the goal. Once the plan is defined, the team or individual begins executing the tasks in the order they were defined in the plan.

The sprint plan is a way to manage the work, and it includes a weekly planning meeting where stakeholders discuss what is planned for the upcoming week. It is an important part of the Scrum methodology and its main purpose is to ensure that the entire team knows what is expected of them during the project lifecycle.

By creating the sprint plan, the product owner (PO) gives the team a clear idea of the requirements for the sprint, the schedule, and the tasks that each team member must undertake. The team must also agree on the process and methods that will be used to execute the sprint.
