HTML

HTML stands for Hypertext Markup Language and is the basic building block for any website or online publication. You can use it to create web pages, blogs, e-books, and other media. HTML consists of tags that define the structure of the page (headings, paragraphs, lists, etc.) and formatting commands (bold, italic, etc.). HTML controls everything from the font and font size to what happens when the user clicks on links. It can be used to create the visual parts of websites, such as the images and graphics that appear on a page.

You can edit or modify the HTML code using any browser's developer tool, but there are two main options for doing so: editing the code manually or using a program. If you use a content management system (CMS) like WordPress or Drupal, both have some basic HTML editing features.

You may have heard of HTML or HTML5 being used in WordPress. HTML5 is the new standard for HTML coding of websites. It includes tags like headings, paragraphs, lists, images, and videos. The most popular HTML editor is Notepad++, which is available for Windows and Mac. It has a built-in code viewer, syntax highlighting, and many other features.
