Over-the-top" (OTT) refers to content delivery systems, i.e., web-based systems for streaming video over the Internet. They are delivered over a network or service that is external to the television delivery system. Because they are web-based, they can provide access to content from any Internet-enabled device, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and even smartphones.
It is a business model that enables digital content providers to sell their own online content directly to consumers. The goal of OTT is to provide content on demand. This means that you pay for your content. OTT services include Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, and Hulu, etc. "
